Pro-Am Jams Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 28, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pro-Am Jams platform, including our website, Host Console, TV companion app, and any related mobile or native applications we may offer (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Platform

Pro-Am Jams is a technology platform designed to help local music communities connect amateur and professional musicians for organized live jam sessions and related events. We provide tools for event discovery, musician signups, setlists, messaging, and host management.

Pro-Am Jams is a facilitation platform only. Events listed on the Service are created and run by independent hosts ("Hosts"). We are not the organizer, promoter, employer, agent, or venue operator for any event. We do not guarantee that any event will occur, that you will receive a performance slot, or that any particular experience will meet your expectations.

Our goal is to support healthy, local music communities built on mutual respect and reliable participation.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

To use the Service, you must be able to enter into a binding agreement under applicable law. If you are not old enough to agree on your own where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

We do not require date of birth at signup today. Hosts and venues may impose their own age requirements for attending or performing at an event (for example, 18+ venues, alcohol service, or local regulations). Signing up for an event on the Service does not guarantee entry if you do not meet a host's or venue's age or entry rules.

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information
  • Maintain the security of your login credentials
  • Accept responsibility for activity under your account
  • Maintain one account per person — creating multiple accounts to gain extra slots, evade restrictions, or misrepresent yourself is prohibited

Accounts created through third-party sign-in providers (Google, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, etc.) are subject to these Terms in the same way as email/password accounts.

3. Hosts and Events

If you apply to become a Host or operate events through the Service, you are responsible for:

  • Your events, venues, schedules, and lineups
  • Venue rules, permits, safety, and any insurance you choose to carry
  • Communicating age restrictions, door policies, and house rules to attendees
  • Treating musicians and attendees fairly and in accordance with applicable law

Hosts are independent from Pro-Am Jams. We do not control how Hosts run their events and are not liable for host conduct, venue conditions, sound or equipment quality, cancellations, injuries, property damage, disputes between participants, or any other aspect of a live event.

Attending or performing at any event is at your own risk. You are responsible for your own conduct, equipment, transportation, and compliance with venue and host rules.

4. Musician Participation and Reliability

When you sign up to play at an event, you are making a commitment to participate in good faith. Hosts rely on accurate signups to build setlists and run successful shows.

Signups and lock-in

Events may enter a lock-in period before the show during which withdrawing from a slot is treated as a late cancellation ("backout"). Backouts and no-shows (failing to appear for a slot you committed to) are recorded on your reliability history with the Host.

Host discretion and participation limits

Hosts may, at their sole discretion, respond to unreliable or disruptive behavior by limiting your participation in their events — for example:

  • Restricting how many slots you may hold per event
  • Delaying when you may sign up for future events
  • Declining or removing you from slots
  • Excluding you from future events they host

These measures may apply for reasons including, but not limited to: repeated late cancellations, no-shows, harassment, abuse, stage crashing (taking the stage or a slot without authorization), gaming signup systems, or other conduct that undermines the event or community.

Hosts may also waive or restore access when they believe circumstances warrant it. Some Hosts may designate certain musicians as trusted or "Pro" members with different slot availability than the default event limits. Pro-Am Jams provides tools to support these decisions but does not dictate how every Host must enforce their community standards.

Slot replacements

When offered, accepting a slot replacement for another musician during a lock-in period may allow the original musician to avoid a reliability penalty. Details are shown in the Service at the time of the offer.

Account deletion

Deleting your account does not necessarily erase reliability history associated with your identity. If you re-register with the same email address, prior reliability records may be restored to protect Hosts and the community from evasion.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, bully, stalk, or abuse any person on or off the platform in connection with the Service
  • Engage in hate speech, discrimination, or sexual misconduct
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or abilities
  • Create duplicate or fraudulent accounts, or assist others in doing so
  • Circumvent signup limits, lock-in rules, or host-imposed restrictions
  • Occupy slots you do not intend to honor ("slot hoarding") or take the stage without authorization
  • Spam, scrape, or use automated tools to access the Service without permission
  • Upload or share illegal, infringing, or harmful content
  • Interfere with events, hosts, venues, or other users' safety or enjoyment
  • Violate any applicable law or third-party rights

We and Hosts may investigate reports of misconduct and take action we deem appropriate.

6. User Content and Intellectual Property

You may submit content through the Service, including profile information, photos, song suggestions, event wall posts, chat messages, and promotional materials ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant Pro-Am Jams a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content as needed to operate the Service — including showing your profile and posts to other users and Hosts.

You represent that you have the rights to any content you upload and that your content does not violate these Terms or anyone else's rights.

Song suggestions and setlists are coordination tools only. Pro-Am Jams does not clear performance rights, mechanical licenses, or venue performance permissions. Hosts and performing musicians are responsible for compliance with applicable copyright and venue requirements.

We and Hosts may remove or hide User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, with or without notice.

7. Messaging and Blocking

The Service may include direct messages, event walls, song chat, and other communication features. You are responsible for what you send.

You may block other users from messaging you through account settings. Blocking affects messaging only and does not remove you from events or prevent Hosts from managing lineups.

We may review content when investigating abuse reports or security issues. Do not use the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages or harmful material.

8. Notifications

We may send you email, push notifications, or in-app alerts about account activity, event updates, signups, messages, and platform announcements. You can adjust certain notification preferences in your account settings where available.

By using the Service, you consent to receive transactional communications necessary to operate your account and events you join.

9. Fees and Sponsorships

Use of the Service is currently free for musicians and fans unless otherwise stated. We may introduce paid features or host subscription plans in the future; if we do, we will provide applicable terms before you are charged.

Sponsorship arrangements displayed or tracked through the Service are between the Host and sponsor unless we explicitly state otherwise. Pro-Am Jams is not a party to those agreements.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers (such as authentication, cloud hosting, email, music data APIs, and payment processors we may add). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.

The Pro-Am Jams TV companion and future native apps connect to the same Service and are covered by these Terms.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any event will occur as scheduled.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRO-AM JAMS AND ITS OPERATORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM:

  • YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE
  • ANY EVENT YOU ATTEND, HOST, OR PERFORM AT
  • CONDUCT OF HOSTS, MUSICIANS, VENUES, OR OTHER USERS
  • UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pro-Am Jams and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your conduct at events, events you host, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, remove content, merge duplicate accounts, or restrict access to the Service at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, pose a risk to others, or for any other reason we deem necessary to protect the platform or community.

Hosts may exclude you from their events and limit your participation as described in Section 4.

Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will remain in effect.

15. Duplicate and Merged Accounts

Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional performance slots or evade restrictions is prohibited. Hosts and administrators may flag suspected duplicate accounts. We may investigate, merge accounts, apply reliability history across merged identities, restrict participation, or terminate accounts involved in abuse.

Deleting an account and re-registering does not reset reliability obligations tied to your identity, as described in our Privacy Policy and Section 4.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Pro-Am Jams operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Before filing a formal legal claim, please contact us at support@proamjams.com and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the dispute informally.
